Ing. Petr Ort, Ph.D.

He graduated in civil engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. He received his PhD in economics from the University of Economics in Prague. He worked as a building designer and later as a real estate appraiser in the banking sector. In the world’s largest company in the field of property valuation – American Appraisal, Ltd., he worked as Vice President and Managing Director for the Czech Republic. He is currently a university lecturer and publishes regularly. He is the author of more than thirty monographs and university textbooks. He is an expert in Economics and a chartered engineer in Civil Engineering. Since 2008 he has been the lead author of Price Maps of the Czech Republic.
