Stories of graduates: Petra Burešová

My name is Petra Burešová and I am a graduate of ESBM in the DBA program with a focus on Soft Skills.

After completing my DBA studies, I joined the PhD program in Management Research at Brunel University in London. My decision to pursue an academic PhD degree was strongly influenced and supported by my supervisor of the Final thesis from ESBM, who inspired me to deepen my research.

During my studies at ESBM, I focused on leadership in the non-profit sector. I am now expanding this topic as part of my doctoral studies at Brunel University, where I am specifically focusing on virtual team management.

Studying at ESBM has also supported me in my career. I currently work as a development specialist at the “Centre for Economic Policy Research” in London, where I lead the Women in the Economy project.

Overall, the experience gained at ESBM and studying DBA gave me more confidence, broadened my horizons and motivated me to do more research. I hope my story can inspire others and I would honestly recommend studying DBA at ESBM to anyone.
